I am really tired of being so Tired! I have no energy for writing, or even being super sad. Perhaps I'll be back in a few more days.

Good Housekeeping Magazine says, (the last one is one of my favorites):

When you're so tired you can barely think straight, try these quick fixes:

1. Step into the light. We need bright light to stimulate the brain to make us alert. A five- to 10-minute foray outdoors can do wonders for our energy levels.

2. Sniff peppermint. The smell of peppermint (available as an extract in supermarkets and drugstores) wakes people up. Your nose acclimates quickly to the scent, so wait a few seconds before taking a second whiff. Continue until you feel more alert, suggests Martin Moore-Ede, Ph.D., M.D., and president of Circadian Technologies in Cambridge, Mass.

3. Snack on a mix of protein and carbohydrates. Energy-boosting items include trail mix, protein bars, and combinations of yogurt and cereal, peanut butter and crackers, or hummus and pita bread.

4. Turn on the music. One recent study showed that listening to music is an effective way to improve energy. It suggested that rhythmic music, especially the toe-tapping variety, makes people move or at least imagine moving, and possibly reduces energy-sapping muscle tension.

5. Take a short nap. Assuming you don't have time for a 90-minute nap, which would allow you to have stages of lighter and deeper sleep as well as a dreaming period, set your alarm for 10 to 20 minutes. That way, you'll wake up before you enter a deep sleep. (With a nap longer than 20 minutes but shorter than 90, you'll interrupt the deepest stages of sleep and wake up groggy.)
