Greetings

We got a card from the US government today, telling Will that he needs to register for the draft. I wanted to call them up and say "He's already dead you a**holes, so you can't have him!"

Fortunately B is going to handle this so I don't have to.

I remember worrying about this when he was younger, and hoping that his heart condition would let him out of the draft. Well, I guess it did.

He would have been 18 September 25.

Sigh. It is a tiny comfort that the warrrrr machine can't get him.

Well, I just had to tell my old doctor about Will's death also. I thought he knew, but he was quite shocked. I hadn't seen that reaction in a while. So I guess this hit me hard.

That's terrible. I guess they don't really check that kind of stuff but still...

I do think you should send that message to the president. Like I bet they could have bought every high school in the country a difibrilator thingy and a lot more for just a fraction of what they are spending on wars.

Let no child be left behind in their registration for the draft.
