It’s been a long weekend. I worked yesterday and today on getting ready for seeing kids on Monday. It seems as though the start-up this year is rougher than last year’s was. Is it because I have more to do or that my expectations are higher? Or both? I’m too tired to tell.

I am really looking forward to seeing my kids again. I do feel better now that my room is finally done. I forgot to bring my camera, so I’ll have to take pictures this week. I like the way it turned out. B. came and helped me on Saturday. He bought me a desk chair for an anniversary present and assembled it plus two little stools also. He would be my HOTD except that he kept complaining.

I do have about 10 more kids this year than last year at this time. Perhaps that’s why everything seems harder. One of my colleagues has a high 40’s caseload, and I am very jealous! I hope to graduate about five kids in the next month or so. Hopefully, that will help.

I read the Da Vinci Code this weekend. It was a very fun novel, including mysteries and wordplay and Biblical history. I highly recommend it. I also reread Pride and Prejudice which was very therapeutic. I guess I’m ready for Monday now.
