Well, I stayed up way too late last night. But I did book a flight, a car and a hotel for our trip. We have definitely decided to go to San Antonio. The hotel has a view of the Alamo, and A is enthusiastic about visiting it. It's nice to have something to look forward to. I also know I'll be able to feel good about having fun without feeling guilty or too sad. We need at least one good memory of this year.

The article about W appeared in the paper. It was nice to see that the defibrillators are going to be more available and usable. A neighbor of mine who works for the school district told me that more schools are getting them as well. The article turned out really well; my sister in law, who used to teach journalism, told me she thought the article was well researched. I'm collecting copies to keep and send to relatives.

Now I just need to get myself back together and finish my reports at work. I think I'm coming out of the numb stage, which is good, but it also means I am a little more emotional. I've got to figure out how to commemorate W's birthday, or as I think of it, the 17th anniversary of his birth.
