Ramblings on Tuesday

I am being really productive this week. I've already written two reports. So what if I have five that need to be done? I can do it! I am not feeling my usual January depression this year. I guess I have gotten better at holding myself together.

I found out about these really cute books called the Carl books that feature a big black dog taking care of a baby while the mom is gone for various reasons. They are wordless, which is what I really like about them, because a child can look at the pictures and tell the story. However, one of the partners at my clinic pointed out that they involve getting the baby into scary situations, such as being face down in the aquarium. Well, the dog is pulling him out! So shall I use them? Hmm... I don't know.

I don't know about those books. I know that I had nightmares about my mobile for years... until I saw a picture and realized that's what I was dreaming about.

A dog watching a kid. That worked ok for Peter Pan though!

I don't know if I can say that I have gotten better at holding myself together, I just think I expect a lot less from myself.

Getting started is like 63.4% of doing something.
The actual doing the report is around 24.5%, and
then reviewing can be as little as 4.7%.
The rest is sasparilla, with a bit of monosodium glutomate
to retain the color. If factory sealed tear strip is missing,
do not use.
Later, if someone actually reads the report for content,
this can have an accretive effect on report value but
an overall decretive effect on stated %s.

I never have stress, but my wife says I am a carrier.

I personally LOVE those Good Dog Carl books...I've saved them from my daughter's babyhood, I found the illustrations beautiful. Depends on what you're using them for..even from an early age, Bo Peep seemed to be amused by the riduculousness of the dog caring for the baby and kind of suspended disbelief and loved them...don't know for clinical applications but count me a huge Carl fan!
