Oh, His Aching Feet

Next week will be a first as we visit a podiatrist for A's toenails. He will probably have to have surgery since they don't seem to be growing out. Unfortunately, this means we will miss the church youth group trip to Austin during spring break. It really sounded great, but I can't make A walk that much on those poor feet.

I had to explain to an autistic 13 year old what death was today as she quizzed me about my dead son. That was strangely upsetting.

On a happier note, I am getting a free AED from the Zoll company if I can find a doctor to sign off the prescription. It's another bennie from the Parent Heart Watch meeting in January. I'm going to give it to our church so that we can use it for trips. This one is very cool because it has a little monitor that lets you know if you are doing CPR correctly.

Our DSL service is supposed to change this week, so I may or may not have internet for a while. It's not like I'm writing up a storm here. Maybe the spring will be more inspiring.

You probably already know, but KUT-FM, the Austin public radio station, has been running PSAs for Parent Heart Watch.

No, I didn't know that--great! I'll have to ask someone about it.
